WI-FI PASSWORD

  • The code is on the back of the hub.

MIND YOUR STEP

  • There is a lovely area at the top of the garden in the sunshine. Be careful walking to the top. The steps are steep and uneven. We take no responsibility for trips and falls.
  • Watch children inside the cottage and in the garden.
  • Be extra vigilant if you use the garden at night. You can use the torch hung by the back door.

LAUNDRY & IRONING

  • The washing machine is in the kitchen and an iron under the sink. The ironing board and horse are behind the roller door.

RECYCLING

  • Use the marked bin provided.

FIRE SAFETY

  • The house has a heat detector (in the kitchen) and smoke detectors throughout.
There is a carbon monoxide detector outside the bathroom.
  • There is a fire blanket in the kitchen and a fire extinguisher at the bottom of the stairs.
  • Please also take note of the FIRE ACTION NOTICES.
  • DO NOT light any candles or smoke.

Utilities

Important Information

ELECTRIC AND GAS

  • The fuse board is in the cellar. If anything trips push in the breakers to get it going again.
  • If you need to turn off the gas or electric the shut off value and mains switch are in the cellar.
  • Be careful if you go down the cellar steps – it’s an old house they are a little steep.

HEATING & WATER

  • If you need to switch off the water, the stop cock is under the far corner cupboard in the kitchen.
  • The main heating control is in the lounge. Use the buttons to adjust the heating up or down - press ok to fix the new temperature.
  • It’s on AUTO and the heating will come on to instantly to warm up the house at a variety of times during the day and night.
  • With 150-year old thick walls the house stays really warm in the winter and cool in summer.
  • DO NOT switch the heating to manual. The house gets too hot 🥵
